Famous Fan Film Festival Information & Official Rules
Details: No purchase necessary to enter or win. Entrants to create a 1-2 minute movie parody incorporating Famous Dave’s into the material. Select a favorite scene from a movie and recreate it adding a Famous Dave’s twist! Videos should be original. Use of copyrighted film materials is prohibited. Creativity strongly encouraged. Only appropriate submissions will be accepted and posted.
Eligibility: Contest open to all, eighteen (18) years or older as of September 21, 2009 to enter and win. Employees, board members, founders and owners of Famous Dave’s of America, Inc. and any of their parent, subsidiary and affiliate companies, advertising, promotion, or production agencies, web masters and web suppliers, and any companies who are performing work at the request of Famous Dave’s, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
To enter: Contest begins 12:01AM (CST) September 21, 2009. Submit your short film by completing the form on this page with video attached. Entries without complete contact information will not be considered.
File Formats: .MOV or .WMV less than 15 MB in size
Deadline: Deadline to submit videos is 11:59 PM (CST) November 21, 2009 [Deadline Update] December 31, 2009.
Winner Determination: Entries will be judged by a group of Famous Dave’s employees as determined by Famous Dave’s of America, Inc. Judging will be based on originality, creativity and use of the Famous Dave’s brand.

Winners will be contacted by mail, email or phone on or around December 2, 2009 January 11, 2010. Winners to be officially announced online at www.famousdaves.com on or around December 7, 2009 January 18, 2010. Prizes will be delivered to respective Winners by January 15, 2010 February 26, 2010. All federal, state and local taxes, as well as any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance are the Winners responsibility. Winners will be requested to fill out a W-9 in order to process awards. Failure to provide proper documentation will result in forfeiture of prize.
Film Rules: No nudity or overtly suggestive situations. No derogatory use of the Famous Dave’s brand, products or services. All footage and music contained in the short films must be properly licensed, in the public domain or created by entrant. If your film contains any copyrighted material (music for example) the entrant will be responsible for securing the licensing rights. (To avoid the expense and difficulty of securing such rights we recommend using only original, non-copyrighted material). Famous Dave’s will not reimburse individuals for production costs, fees or expenses. Once submitted for contest entry, film submissions become the property of Famous Dave’s. Entering a submission in this contest constitutes entrant’s consent to give Famous Dave’s inc a royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, create derivative works from, and display such submission, in whole or in part, on a worldwide basis, and to incorporate it into other works, in any form, media or technology now known or later developed, including for promotional or marketing purposes.
